Starlight Screenings is an exciting new three night open-air film festival held beneath a giant aluminium observatory. Watch films under the stars with surround sound and 35mm projection.
Witness an amazing display of new laser technology. Normally found working in extreme depths of our oceans or surveying other worlds aboard deep space probes, this is an elusive white laser capable of 64 million colours, exclusive to this event. A true glimpse at the forefront of science fiction becoming science fact.
Observatory Arts & Electric Palace Cinema
The Observatory Arts Project is an ambitious scheme which created this fantastic new open air Arena. Soon to be
complimented with a new arts centre in the Observatory housing a theatre, art gallery, dancefloor, artists’ studios and recording facilities.
The arena will host several weekend festivals throughout the year. Starlight Screenings is the first of an annual film festival created in collaboration with The Electric Palace Cinema, an independent cinema in the heart of Hastings Old Town, East Sussex.
