Wonderful expressionist version of Berthold Brecht/Kurt Weill musical masterpiece telling the story of Mack The Knife, a gentleman thief operating in London's Dickensian docklands. This vibrant adaptation of Brecht's theatre piece is packed with larger-than-life, compelling characters, retaining its biting social satire, delivered in an appropriately expressionistic style.

Topical and tense, director Hany Abu-Assad's Oscar-nominated drama is a combustible and controversial political cinema. Two Palestinian suicide bombers are prepared for a mission into Israel. But it all goes horribly wrong and leaves one of the men on the run with immovable explosives strapped to his chest. Exerting masterful control over his material, the Palestinian director holds clear-headed observation and stark absurdity in perfect balance, producing a superbly acted and thought-provoking film which is neither manifesto nor condemnation.
